Telecom Firms Ordered to Reverify 20 Lakh Mobile Connections for Legitimacy
The Department of Telecom (DoT) has taken significant measures to combat cybercrimes and financial frauds by directing major telecom operators such as Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel, and Vodafone Idea to block 28,200 mobile handsets that have been allegedly linked to cybercrimes. This decisive action is part of a broader initiative aimed at preventing the misuse of telecom resources in criminal activities.
