On a macro level, the concept of smart cities will continue on evolving, not only due to the electric transport system (already) in place, but also because of the smart buildings and the way the cities are managed; from a government standpoint, the end-result is being able to switch from more flexible systems and exclude, little by little, the energy monopolies.
