Edison College Offers Therapeutic Recreation Activity Assistant Certificate with In-Person Practicum
Edison College offers a Therapeutic Recreation Activity Assistant Certificate that combines 20 weeks (372 hours) of distance theory with a 3-week, 90-hour supervised practicum in a care setting in Victoria, BC. Courses include Person-Centered Care, Practical Approach to Dementia, Lifestyle and Leisure Education, and activity planning and small-group activity leadership. Students also complete FoodSafe Level 1, Standard First Aid with CPR Level C and the Provincial Violence Prevention Certificate.
