12 cases of HMPV in India: One more patient found in Gujarat, 80-year-old man infected in Ahmedabad
After China, now cases of Human Metapneumovirus (HMPV) infection are increasing rapidly in India too. A total of 12 cases of HMPV have been reported in the country so far, out of which 3 new cases were found on January 9. The first case is from Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh, where the virus was confirmed in a 60-year-old woman. At the same time, this virus was also found in an 80-year-old man in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. This virus has also been found in children.
